Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Located in Decatur, IL
Debbie is a young puppy born in April 18, 2024.She is sweet and tiny. She was surrendered by her breeder because of a birth defect. Debbie has an eye that never fully developed and she can only see out of one eye. At this time it is not a concern but if there is persistent drainage that is not clear, it should be looked at by a vet.
Debbie is currently in a foster home with other puppies and likes having play mates! She is very sweet and loves to snuggle up under your chin. She is also good playing independently. She likes small cat balls and stuffed toys.
Debbie does well in a kennel but cannot hold her bladder for long. She will need to either be taken out frequently in the middle of the night or have a pen with a potty area.
Debbie is learning some puppy culture skills like Manding and attention (look up puppy culture for more on this). She is a smart girl and easy to train and motivated by treats! She is learning to take treats nice.
Debbie also likes to get under foster mom's feet and is a trip hazard. She is not ideal for a person with mobility problems or small children.
Debbie's adoption is $500. She is current on age appropriate vaccines, subsequent vaccines are the responsibility of his new family. She has not been spayed due to her age (we spay/neuter at 6 months) and a spay contract is required. Debbie is microchipped. Visit leiashope.org for next steps.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
