My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Roxie Heart, and life is just one big, splashy adventure to me! Dive into my world, and you'll find a dog who's as smart as a whip, as silly as a clown, and as playful as a pup can be.

Let's start with my all-time favorite pastime - the pool! Oh, how I love the cool, refreshing water on a hot day. I'm a water dog through and through, and if you throw a tennis ball or a floating toy in there, you'll see me paddle and splash with pure joy. I'm like a furry synchronized swimmer, and I'll even teach you some moves if you join me!

Now, when it comes to intelligence, I'm no slouch. They say I'm "smart," and I'm inclined to agree. I've mastered some impressive tricks like sit, touch, and down. But don't worry, I won't show off too much - I'm a humble hound who's always eager to learn new tricks and make you proud.

Speaking of toys, there's nothing like a good squeaky toy to tickle my funny bone. I'll roll around, toss it in the air, and give it a good squeak just to see your reaction. It's my way of saying, "Let's have some fun, human!"

Now, about my silliness, I take playtime very seriously! I'm a goofball at heart, and I'll do just about anything to make you smile. Whether it's chasing my tail in circles or giving you the classic puppy-dog eyes, I've got a knack for spreading laughter.

So, if you're looking for a pool-loving, smart, squeaky-toy enthusiast who knows some cool tricks and is the silliest sidekick you'll ever have, then look no further than Roxie Heart! Together, we'll make a splash and have a bark-tastic time in this wonderful adventure called life.

Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS)
At SAVE, we understand that the current economy presents challenges, and this impacts dog adoption rates. To ease the financial burden on adopters and help our adoptable dogs find their forever homes, we are excited to introduce the Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS) program. This initiative funds the first five training sessions with a qualified trainer for select medium and large breed dogs, identified in their adoption bios. For more information, please call the shelter director (Jack Griffin) and ask about the PATS program.
