My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Orion, your friendly, fur-tastic canine companion! Picture a sleek, starry-coated gentleman who knows how to charm his way into your heart.

First and foremost, they say I'm quite the gentleman, and I couldn't agree more. I've got manners that would make even the fanciest of poodles jealous. Opening doors for you? Check. Offering a paw for a polite shake? Absolutely. When it comes to being a well-behaved doggo, I've got it down to a science.

Now, let's talk about my snuggling skills. They say I'm a great snuggler, and I take that title very seriously. There's nothing better than curling up beside you on a chilly evening, feeling the warmth of your presence, and sharing a blanket. I'm a firm believer that there's no problem in the world that can't be solved with a good snuggle session.

I'm a lover of the great outdoors too! Going on walks is one of my favorite activities. I'll lead the way with my confident stride, always ready to explore new trails and make new furry friends. It's not just about the exercise; it's about the journey, the scents, and the joy of being by your side.

Speaking of walks, just like the constellation in the night sky, I'm here to guide you through life's adventures, one pawstep at a time. We'll explore the universe together, discovering new constellations in the form of friendships and memories.

And finally, I give the best hugs! Lean in, and I'll wrap my paws around you like a bear hug from a best friend. It's my way of showing just how much I love and appreciate you.

So, if you're looking for a well-mannered, snuggle-loving, walk-ready companion who'll brighten your day and your nights, I'm your Orion. Together, we'll journey through life's adventures, making every moment a stellar experience.

Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS)
At SAVE, we understand that the current economy presents challenges, and this impacts dog adoption rates. To ease the financial burden on adopters and help our adoptable dogs find their forever homes, we are excited to introduce the Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS) program. This initiative funds the first five training sessions with a qualified trainer for select medium and large breed dogs, identified in their adoption bios. For more information, please call the shelter director (Jack Griffin) and ask about the PATS program.
