My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Skunk, an adorable kitty with a unique name and a heart full of potential. Though she's still getting used to her surroundings, Skunk is quickly learning how wonderful it feels to be in a safe and loving home.

This sweet girl may start off a bit shy, but she's making great progress every day. With each gentle pet, she's discovering the joys of affection and will reward you with her soft, soothing purrs.

Skunk is looking for a patient and understanding family who will give her the time she needs to fully come out of her shell. In return, you'll watch her blossom into a loving and loyal companion.

If you're ready to offer a gentle and loving home to a kitty who's learning to trust and love, Skunk is the perfect addition to your family. Adopt Skunk today and be a part of her beautiful journey to becoming a confident and affectionate cat.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
