My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Evelyn is a sweet, playful and doe-eyed girl. She was more cautious growing up than her siblings, but she's begun to come out of her shell and appreciates a good petting. Although she lacks the coordination of her brother and sister, she loves to play with wand toys. She has a peculiar habit of running around batting treats across the floor rather than eating them; one might think they were her favorite toys. She's an expert spelunker; she loves to find a nice little cave to sleep in, whether that's under some pillows, in her cardboard cat castle, or on a bookshelf. Evelyn enjoys the company of other cats, and would love to join a family with a friendly feline pal who can be a buddy for her.

Additional adoption info

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!

Adoption fees are:
Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two)
Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two)
Puppies under 6mo: $225
Dogs over 6mo: $175

Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 3341 Vincent Road.

Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens). Kitty Corner is open for adoptions by appointment only with an approved application. Please submit an application for a cat you are interested in at www.cchumane.org/adoptable-cats.

All of our dogs, puppies and some kittens are located off-site in foster homes and can be met by appointment once adoption applications have been received and approved.
