Michael Angelo is one of the most wonderful kitties you’ll ever meet. With a striking blend of Persian genes, he epitomizes the breed's sweet, gentle, and patient nature. Persians are known for their friendly disposition, preferring calm environments but easily adapting to more active households. Michael loves to cuddle on your lap or sit with you when the mood strikes, and for him, that mood strikes often.

Michael is a natural door greeter, always thrilled to see a familiar face and eager for attention. His greeting style is unique, often welcoming you with a soft trill or coo, and then following closely by your legs, demanding affection. At just a year old, he still has a lot of kitten energy and a zest for playtime. He delights in batting around spring toys and crinkly balls, often making up his own rules and games. Interactive play is his favorite, and he needs regular sessions to burn off his youthful energy.

When he gets the occasional bout of the "zoomies," he handles it well, darting around with bursts of energy that are very entertaining to watch. Despite these energetic spurts, Michael's true love is snuggling and cuddling. He finds comfort in various cozy spots, whether it’s sitting by a computer chair, lounging on the sofa while you watch Netflix, or nesting in a pile of comfy blankets in bed. Michael is a HUGE kneader, using his very fluffy paws to knead with a loud, steady purr that can be incredibly soothing.

In a calm mood, Michael enjoys being held and relishes a good scratch and petting session. His affectionate nature shines through, making him a delightful companion. Michael's journey to his current state of happiness wasn't easy. He was rescued from some of the most horrific circumstances imaginable (please ask if you want the full story), but he holds no grudges and remains a happy-go-lucky guy.

Michael Angelo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his new home. However, due to the immense stress of traveling from Egypt to the US—28+ hours in a crate with another cat in cargo—he suffered a urinary block that required an emergency vet visit. He has recovered and is now healthy but will need to stay on a special diet. Fortunately, this food is easy to acquire, and Michael loves his food and looks forward to every meal. If he joins a home with another kitty, this diet is healthy for all cats, so it shouldn’t be a concern but Michael would be the perfect cat as an "only" so that he can be the center of attention.

Michael Angelo is eagerly hoping to find the right person or family who will open their hearts and home to him, offering him the lifelong companionship he deserves. His affectionate nature, playful spirit, and gentle demeanor make him an ideal companion, ready to bring joy and love to his forever home. He is fostered in Burke, Va.
