Meet Skye, a resilient and loving canine who was discovered wandering the countryside, her past a mystery. Now safe in a foster home, Skye is blossoming into a loyal and affectionate companion, ready to find her forever family! This is what Skye's foster mom has to say about her:

"Skye is a fearful dog and takes a while to warm up to new people, but once you earn her trust, she is very affectionate and loves pets and belly rubs! Skye loves other dogs and will prefer to bond with them before she chooses people, so she would do best in a home with another dog to help show her the routine and make her feel comfortable! Skye is even non-destructive and house trained. She is looking for a very patient and understanding owner who is willing to put in the time and effort needed to gain her trust.

Partners for Pets is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue located in Troy, IL. Since our opening in 2003, Partners for Pets has rescued and re-homed over 21,000 cats and dogs, who would have otherwise been euthanized in local area animal control facilities. Partners for Pets works diligently to help local area animal control facilities reach no-kill status by opening our doors to the neglected, sick, weak, and injured. No matter their chances of survival, we do everything in our power to give these animals a second chance at life-a life that is full of the love, care, and compassion that they were lacking before.
