Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dory is a 2 year old HoundX who wants to adore you with her soulful eyes. We believe Dory was hit by a car when she was young and she fractured her Pelvis in several places. She has had a full vet check up including xrays. What was found, was several healed fractures and a damaged head of the femur. These injuries had never been treated and have now healed on their own. She is experiencing athrophy in her right rear leg, but it does not slow her down or bother her at all. She walks with a limp and runs on three legs..but as our vet said.. "Dogs are born with four legs. They only need three!" Dory does great with her disability and doesn't need any medical treatment. She's a happy, goofy girl and like any Hound, will follow her nose anywhere. If she overuses her leg, a Rimadyl or other pain med could be used occasionally. Dory likes other dogs, LOVES kids, plays well with CATS (wow) and ignores livestock. She is being fostered on a ranch with a unique mixture of animals and she likes them all. She is housebroken, sleeps on a dog bed by you and has a gigantic, happy heart! Dory charms everyone she meets and is happiest in a room full of people. She has a big bark but only barks a short time when excited and obeys commands to quiet down. She knows several commands and comes when called. Dory is one of those "perfect" dogs with no emotional or behavioral issues. She would be great in any family and does not require a lot of exercise or walks due to her leg. Consider Dory for your new family member! Only homes with securely and fully fenced yards will be considered. Dory's adoption is $125.
