My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oreo is a gorgeous girl who was found caring for her litter of kittens in a basement in May 2024. She is approximately 2 years old and is social and friendly; she loves head butts, batting around toys, and food. She isn't a lap cat yet, but actively seeks out petting and attention, and chirps and trills to talk with people and her kittens. She has interacted with young male cats in our home and occasionally hisses or swats but is not aggressive and will eventually sit nearby and ignore them; we have not tried introducing her without her kittens present. She has now weaned her kittens and is fully recovered from being spayed and is ready to be pampered in a space of her own! She uses a litter box well. She will need an indoor-only home; she interacts well with adults and teens and has not had a chance to be around younger children yet.

Oreo is affectionate, athletic, brave, curious, friendly, gentle, and playful.

Oreo Baltimore is about 2 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.

* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
