My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, we're Emmie and Ollie, a bonded pair of older dogs who've spent our lives side by side, and we're looking for a forever home together. We're both gentle, loving, and full of wisdom that comes with age. I'm Ollie, and I love a good nap and gentle walks, while Emmie here enjoys a cozy cuddle and some quiet time. We complement each other perfectly and bring double the love and companionship. While we'd love to stay together, we understand if you can only adopt one of us. What matters most is finding a loving home. If you're looking for loyal, affectionate companions, we're your perfect match. Adopt us, and let's make the rest of our journey full of love and happiness!

More about this shelter

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is dedicated to providing animals the tender, loving care and attention they need to become adoptable companions.

From our humble beginning in 1951, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has grown to meet the needs of homeless dogs and cats. Since moving to our state-of-the-art facility at 1300 West Conway in Harbor Springs, Michigan, in 2001, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has sterilized more than 10,000 animals owned by community members and has placed more than 5,000 animals into loving homes.

In addition to being an adoption center, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society offers a variety of proactive programs to help shelter animals become adoptable companions including the “Pit Stop Program,” the “Ruff-to-Ready Scholarship Program,” “Spay-it-Fourward,” the “Animals Need to Give Everybody Love (ANGEL) Program,” boarding, grooming, daycare, and a full-service veterinary clinic.
