Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
14-year-old Sasha Sugar Cookie was surrendered to San Diego Humane Society when her elderly parents could no longer care for her. She had been adopted from there as a puppy. According to Sasha's relinquishment form, she has primarily lived outdoors her entire life, enjoys car rides, and loves people, dogs, and cats.
Sasha is sweetest girl and deserves the very best home where she will be pampered and adored for the rest of her years. She went on a Frosted Fling, so we could learn what she is like in a home setting. Her Fling home has kids and other dogs, and she did great with them all, even their grumpy dog!
Her Fling Mom reports:
"Sasha is a social, maternal butterfly with all people, children, and animals, and she does well with cats, too!
Sasha has THRIVED living in a home with her peeps, and although she sleeps a good amount of time, she has her spunky moments and enjoys quietly following you around. Her favorite bed here is a Big Barker which provides her skinny, boney body some relief. She sleeps through the night.
Sasha is so easy to walk a child can walk her, or you can stroll sipping your morning coffee. She has no prey drive.
Sasha does not exhibit any separation anxiety and falls asleep while you are gone. We have never heard her bark either. She is excellent in the car and lays down.
Sasha has limited hearing. Her only meds are eye drops for dry eye. She ate 3-4 smaller meals a day. No food aggression but will try to sneak our other dogs' food.
An ideal home for Sasha would have a dog door. She needs to go out about every 3 hours during the day, but she sleeps through the night. It took us about a week to pick up on her cues that she needed out. She ived in a backyard her entire life and is already about 90% house-trained after only 3 weeks of living indoors.
Sasha has been deprived of living indoors with her humans for many years, and she has SO much love to give."
Sasha is ready for a forever home where she will be a cherished family member. Might that be with you?
Drop by to meet Sasha between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm any day of the week!
