My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Matcha! This goofy, cuddly, fun boy is looking for his forever home! He is a 3-year-old black mouth cur mix and about 40 lbs. He is house trained, crate trained, and has various other assortments of training, including sit, down, place, stay, spin, shake, etc.

He loves to play and has lots of energy. Matcha would love to accompany you on runs, car rides, swims, and even skateboarding trips! Squeaky and soft toys are his favorite, but be prepared for them to have just a few weeks of a lifespan. If there is a lap for him to sit on or a bed for him to snuggle in, he will make himself right at home. Personal space is afraid of him, but he will listen with a pout if you need him to leave you alone.

This little baby would love some soft blankets to lay on and may need a hug during thunderstorms. He is very playful with other dogs and has been around cats before, but can also be protective of his person and territory. He's the friendliest little boy but a loyal companion who will not let anyone hurt the people he loves. Matcha would do amazing in a house with a yard and he'll love you forever if you also have a swimming pool! Ready to meet your new best friend?!

Please submit an adoption inquiry directly through our website at https://www.rebelsrescue.com/forms/form?formid=4564.

2.
Meet the Pet

After submitting your inquiry, a volunteer will contact you within 24-48 hours to complete a brief interview and arrange a meet and greet.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Adoptions are not complete until an adoption contract has been signed and the adoption fee paid.

Before you adopt...
Ask yourself if you are ready for a 15+ year commitment
**Please Note** Submitting an inquiry for a specific animal does NOT guarantee a hold of that animal, until our adoption counselor is able to speak with you in person or over the phone. We will do our best to facilitate a swift process!
As a non-profit, we charge a nominal fee for all adoptions. In exchange for your adoption fee, all animals:
• Are spayed/neutered
• Are fully vaccinated based on age/weight at the time of adoption
• Have received a medical exam
• Are microchipped
• Dewormed (With kittens this will need to be repeated)
• All cats 8+ months of age are tested at the time of entry for FIV and FeLV and will be specified if negative or positive in the medical as well as the description. (Please note that FIV and FeLV testing at the time of entry does not guarantee the cats will be free of the disease.)
• Dogs are tested for heart worms
Most importantly, you have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped re-home an animal that needs the love and care only you can provide.

ADOPTION DONATION ( normal fee's excluding specials )
• Adult Cats $100 (with exception to rare cat breeds)
• Kittens $125 (with exception to rare cat breeds)
• Rare cat breeds such as Siamese and Manx, Oriental, etc. $150+
• Dogs and Puppies are $TBD

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
All Rebel Rescue adopters must be 21 years or older, currently employed, live in a house, condo, or apartment where cats and dogs are welcome, and have telephone or cell phone service. We require that all the members of the household agree to the adoption—which includes family, roommates, and especially children.

Rebels Rescue is a foster-based 501(c)3 animal rescue dedicated to saving the lives of homeless pets in Hillsborough County and the Greater Tampa Bay area. Our goal is to end unnecessary euthanasia by placing the most at-risk pets from local shelters and the community into our foster homes where they will receive the love, attention and care they deserve while they await adoption. All pets receive appropriate vet care in addition to being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
