My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zelda!

A beautiful two-year-old American Pitbull Terrier from Long Beach, CA, whose essence is a delightful blend of energy and tranquility, wrapped in a striking blue and fawn brindle coat.

Zelda is the perfect companion for those who love adventure but also appreciate the quiet moments at home. She has a wonderful balance of energy and calmness, making her a joy to be around whether you’re out exploring new trails or cuddling on the couch. Zelda is adept at being home alone, perfectly content to sleep until her people return, and she is well-versed in using a doggy door, ensuring no accidents while you’re away.

Living with two children, Zelda has shown her gentle and loving nature. She adores them and is a great playmate, always ready for a game of tug of war or a cuddle session! Zelda also has experience living with other dogs and, with a proper introduction, gets along well with her canine companions. Her past friendship with an elderly boxer showcases her adaptable and caring personality.

Zelda’s intelligence shines through her eagerness to learn, especially when treats are involved! She knows commands like sit, stay, down, and here, and with her food motivation, she’s always ready to learn more. Her walking manners are commendable; she enjoys strolls and the opportunity to sniff around, although she might need some reassurance when encountering trash trucks.

One of Zelda’s most endearing qualities is her goofiness! She has a knack for making people laugh with her silly antics and playful demeanor. Whether she’s playing with her blanket, chewing on bones, or treating the guinea pigs like little puppies, Zelda’s sweet and gentle nature is always evident.

Zelda would thrive in a home where her new family understands the needs and strength of a pit bull and can provide her with the outdoor space she loves. She’s never shown aggression and is good with other dogs and young children. Her easy-going nature extends to her routine; she’s flexible with feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules.

Vaccinated, spayed, house-trained, and microchipped, Zelda is ready to bring joy and laughter to her new family! Could your home be the loving environment she’s been waiting for? If you think Zelda could be your next furry family member, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com. Who can resist a sweetheart like Zelda, always ready for her next adventure or snuggle?
