Meet Summer, the sunshine you've been waiting for! This little sweetheart arrived at our shelter as a shy and nervous stray. At first, Summer was wary of people and would scurry away from volunteers. But with patience, trust, and plenty of tasty treats, she began to bloom. Summer now delights in getting all the pets she can. She adores noisy toys (or volunteers making funny noises), enjoys splashing around in her water bowl, walks wonderfully on a leash, and loves cuddling up for snuggles. Her favorite treats? Nudge chicken pot pie treats and meatballs!
True to her name, Summer loves basking in the sunshine. However, she needs a home with a fenced-in yard to keep her safe. When she's scared, she can be hard to catch, so a secure environment is essential. While Summer hasn't had many interactions with other dogs, her experiences have been positive so far. We're happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with your dogs if you're interested in adopting her. She is about 1.5-2 years old.
