Look at this smile! How is this perfect face waking up in a cage and not a warm bed in his forever home? Please help us find Shutterbug his happy ending. He is the last of his litter and has been waiting SO long for his people to find him. He is a 1 year old, male, Bulldog mix. This sweet boy is affectionate, easily picks up new skills, and is very eager to please. He’s a pro on a leash and loves exploring. Shutterbug has been dog selective on occasion but our team is willing to set up meet and greets to help find him a perfect fit if you are applying and have another dog. We can help advise approved applicants to ensure a smooth transition from shelter dog to family pet. Please consider giving this wonderful dog the chance he’s been waiting for and he will pay you back with endless love. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered.

Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience.

HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING:
1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.
2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord.
3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets.

Helpful reminders:
*We do not do same day adoptions.
*Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in.
*We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
