My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Tiny is ready for her new home!  She is an 8 year old English Bulldog and is a not so tiny 60 pounds! Tiny came to us when her family was no longer able to care for her and her sister.

Tiny embodies the quintessential characteristics of her breed - she's delightfully lazy, remarkably stubborn, and undeniably bossy, if given the chance! Despite these quirks, she has a heart of gold and is incredibly affectionate. There's one thing that truly gets her excited - her treats, especially when it's cheese time in her foster home!

One look at Tiny's face when it's time for a walk or a car ride, and you'll see pure joy. She loves getting baths and jumps into the tub, sitting patiently as she gets scrubbed up, relishing her very own spa day. Tiny is nicely crate trained and goes right in when asked.  She is also house trained, although she may need a gentle nudge in the morning due to her reluctance to rise and shine.

Unfortunately, Tiny has a strong dislike for cats and will not hesitate to chase them, so a feline-free home is a must. As for other dogs, she generally gets along with them, except for the more boisterous types. It is on her terms, so an owner who is familiar with bullies would be ideal. Tiny is great with kids, but she can't handle the energy of very young children. Therefore, we believe that kids in her new home should be at least 12 years old. If you have small children visiting, she will gladly take a nap in her crate while they are there!

Tiny came to us with some skin and ear/eye infections, which is very typical for English Bulldogs (EBDs). Her food was immediately switched to a fish-based diet and that has been a great help. She cannot have chicken or lamb. Her skin is still healing but with consistent bathing and time, it will be fine. Tiny also had a fatty mass (it was tested!).

Tiny is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $500

Please go to our website and read about the dog there as well as all pertinent info. for adopting this dog. IF THERE IS INFORMATION NOT INCLUDED IN THE DOGS PROFILE THAT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHETHER ,,,GENERALLY SPEAKING,,,,THIS DOG IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY, THEN PLEASE GO AHEAD AND EMAIL WITH THAT SPECIFIC QUESTION. We will be happy to answer questions not already covered in the thorough amount of info already printed on our website. www..pixiemamasrescue.com
We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".
Thank you for your interest in our wonderful Pixie Mamas pooches. Without you adopters we could not continue to do what we do. We appreciate your time and effort as well ,to comply with what is needed for us to keep Pixie Mamas Rescue going with as little stress and extra time as necessary.
Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.
Good luck in finding the right dog for your family.

More about this rescue

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
