Gus is looking for his forever home 🩵

Gus had been through so much! Gus is a senior we pulled from the puppy mill in Kentucky with over 120 dogs on the property. He went to a foster to adopt home where he got fixed, multiple dental extractions, tested heartworm positive (despite testing negative two months prior by the KY vet and was put on prevention immediately) and then unfortunately was reported for an alleged bit. Gus went to training where he has been for a couple weeks. Gus started coughing uncontrollably! We took him to the vet and this boy had a few bacterias in his lungs and a partially collapsed trachea. Poor Gus can’t catch a break 😭

He is a great boy. He is fully vaccinated, fixed, crate trained, and is friendly with dogs, cats, and cats. He cannot wear a collar but has a harness that will come with him. He also has a humidifier that can be sent with him.

Note: The living conditions from the puppy mill are posted-thankfully he is safe now. The last three photos were what Gus looked like when he first came into our rescue 😭
