Introducing Lily and Zeplin, a charming bonded pair of 9 year old Cresteds. Lily is the powderpuff girl and Zeplin is the hairless boy. They came to our rescue after a good Samaratin found them running loose down the middle of the road. She was able to locate the owner, who said the dogs were always escaping from the yard and she didn't want them anymore. So here they are, safe and sound! They absolutely MUST be adopted as a pair. We will not split them up, so don't ask. Zeplin is quite timid. He spent the first 3 weeks at his foster home on a chair under a blanket. He is slowly starting to come out of his shell and loves going outside with his person, while Lily prefers to follow you absolutely everywhere. She is the more outgoing of the two and is Zeplin's security blanket. When he had a vet appointment and she stayed home, they both got extremely upset and screamed to let us know they were not happy being apart! They both ride nicely in the car. They require a fenced yard, as they were used to running off at their former home, so they need a fence to be kept secure. Zeplin is housetrained, while Lily is still working on that skill, which will be an ongoing process. They are looking for a quiet, patient home that understands they will take a while to open up and blossom. They need a home without young kids, where someone is home a lot of the time. They are looking forward to finally being a treasured part of someone's life.

More about this rescue
We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue, care and re-homing of Chinese Cresteds and other hairless breeds in need. We offer loving temporary homes, compassionate aid and veterinary care while working on finding the ideal permanent situation for each dog. We also work to educate the public so that there may be fewer Chinese Cresteds or other hairless breeds needing to come into rescue.
