Archie is one of 4 kittens that came into the shelter after being found outside in early July 2024. Archie is now around 1 year old and still a bit shy. He resides in one of our catteries, and thrives with other cats but will need a patient home that can give him time to let him come around on his terms.

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter boasts one of the highest adoption rates in the nation. Come tour the Animal Shelter, meet a dog or cat, and bring the love of a pet into your home. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive required inoculations and will be microchipped. These are included in adoption fees.
