Layla's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Layla's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=007784) to learn even more about Layla!
Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Layla is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses.

Layla is a pretty perfect dog. She's amazing with people in the house and out. She is a joy on the street; she loves walking, is not reactive at all, and never gets scared of city noises - not even garbage trucks or sirens. She knows "sit" and "stay," and is practicing other commands. She is so smart and likes to learn. It is fun to watch her brain work.
She will want to be by your side all the time. When you walk her, she will look back at you often to check that you are right there.
In the house, she is super food motivated, and will do anything for a treat or even just a bit of kibble! She is fantastic in her crate, settling in quickly at night and whenever she needs to be crated. She likes a scent-based toy and will do the cutest leaps to get it from us when playing. She is completely non-destructive in the house as well, though she can sometimes get overstimulated with pets and get mouthy. We've been working on redirecting her with chew toy when this happens, and she's starting to understand! Layla arrived with some skin issues from what seems to be an allergy, but thankfully she is getting better every day. She likes the daily foam that helps address the skin issue, and patiently waits for you to apply it daily to the few areas where it is needed.
Overall, Layla is a total lovebug! After dinner, she likes an hour of playing with you and her puzzle toys and getting lots and lots of pets.
