My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie had his leg removed due to an old injury. He has been recovering well in his foster home. He is very snuggly and affectionate and just loves to be close to you. Charlie loves toys and playing fetch. He doesn't let having 3 legs slow him down! He's ready to find his forever home and move on to the next chapter of his life!

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility. Our fosters are cared for in the homes of our volunteers. We arrange personal meet and greets with approved applications depending on the foster's schedule.

More about this rescue

Pitt Friends has been working to save animals from the Pitt County Animal Shelter since 2004. Our motto is Rescue- Rehab-Rehome. Countless dogs spend many weeks at the shelter waiting for their forever homes. It is with the help and dedication of volunteers, that we're able to make that wait more comfortable in foster homes while receiving medical care. Without them, many of the dogs may never know life outside the shelter. Additionally, as fosters are adopted, we're able to pull another dog in need into our care and free up space at the shelter. It's a win-win situation!
