Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Nebula from our Guardians of the Galaxy Sisters litter! Nebula, or Nebbie, as we call her endearingly, is now ready for adoption. She is about 4 months old as of July 6, 2024.
Nebbie is extremely lucky to have made her way into foster care! This poor kitten was found in the middle of the road by one of our volunteers when she was out doing errands. At that point in time, Nebbie was only about 5 weeks old, barely old enough to be away from mom. She suffered from severe eye infections as well as an upper respiratory infection. It was so bad that our volunteer didn't even know if she would make it through the night. Thankfully she was a fighter. She got meds and was seen by a vet the next day.
She was transferred to a foster home who specialized in neonatal and sick kittens and has made great strides in recovering. Although we anticipated an eye enucleation, she healed well and can keep her eye. Her bad eye will always be cloudy from the adhesions that formed during her infection, but she still has limited vision in it. We think it just makes her look even cooler!
Although Nebbie is playful and affectionate, she is initially timid because she is wary of all the eye meds that she has endured. She is easily won over with a churu treat though! Nebbie is also a very pushy player. This makes her the purrfect companion to a playful Gamora (Mora), her foster mate! She enjoys the company of another cat but there will be a warm up phase. Introductions to another feline should be slow and positive to encourage a strong bond.
Nebbie is FIV/FeLv negative, up to date on vaccines, and spayed. If you're interested in this sweet baby, please email Lori for an application at apcatrescue@gmail.com.
