My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I`m Green, also known as Undercat. I`ve got energy to spare and a playful spirit that`s sure to keep you on your toes. My days are filled with chasing after toys, exploring every nook and cranny, and of course, plenty of naps. I`m a social butterfly and I love meeting new people. I`m always up for a good cuddle session or a friendly chat. I`m more than just a shelter cat, I`m a companion, a friend, and a source of endless entertainment. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share my love and zest for life. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will fill your days with joy and laughter.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The LA/SPCA pet adoption process includes meeting with a matchmaker to match your lifestyle with the perfect companion. You will spend time with any of the pets you think would be a great companion. You may even want to come back another day to make sure he is the one! All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before you can take them home. Sometimes your perfect companion has not had this procedure done, so please be patient with us if you have to come back to pick him up.

All of our animals have been spayed or neutered before they are released for adoption. We encourage anyone with animals to spay or neuter their pets.

More about this shelter

Chartered in 1888, the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LA/SPCA) is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state. Our mission is to advocate for the animals of Louisiana by advancing their welfare, promoting their interests, and fostering the human-animal bond through innovative programs, education, and service.

The LA/SPCA is not a state, parish or city governed shelter. We are an independent 501(c)3 non-profit offering a broad range of services and programs including advocacy, legislative services, statewide cruelty investigations, sheltering, full-service animal control (Orleans Parish only), adoption, disaster response, education, and obedience programs.
