Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little girl was dealt a terrible hand from the start. Born in June, 2023, she was rescued as a kitten from a local yard after she was noticed to be dragging one of her legs. It was determined that she had gotten herself stuck in a car engine and her leg was mangled beyond repair. Her front right leg had to be amputated. Mercy bounced back like a trooper and gets around just fine now. Her tabby coat is riddled with mackerel swirls. Her personality is not one of a snuggly cat, but one of a cat that holds a little mistrust in the world. We can’t imagine what she went through while outside on her own with her painful injury and how that experience has impacted her behavior. Time and patience are key with Mercy. Please consider adopting the cats that really need the safety of a home, as this beautiful girl does. None of us are perfect but we can become perfect companions for one another.
Mercy is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting this pet, you can start the process and access our pre-adoption application which is located on our website at www.startpets.net, click on Pets for Adoption then application; complete the form, and submit/send.
