My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dreamy pittie boy is named Stetson. Stetson is a handsome, good-natured boy with a deep love for his people, an admirable loyalty and a courageous spirit. He’s a playful and perfect pup looking for forever love, he would make a wonderful family dog or a great companion dog to a young socialite looking for a partner in crime!

We believe that Stetson is a pittie mix of some sort, around 2 years old. He is a rescue, so these are just our best-educated-guesses! Knowing his love for people and his snuggly sweetness, we’re willing to bet this boy is mostly pittie. Stetson weighs in at 45 pounds, the perfect size for a snuggle.

Fall in love with Stetson here: https://youtu.be/RTzSuSm5tCM?si=vDmBfjWw_Pg7Idbc

Stetson likes his life booked and busy! He’s currently thriving in a foster home, but makes regular visits to the rescue for play groups and “visitation” with the staff. He is a staff favorite, and of the staff, Stetson has his own favorites. Once Stetson has chosen you as a favorite person, he becomes your best friend, checking in with you during play time, asking for pets and giving gentle little kisses. Stetson’s foster mom reports that Stetson loves to go places with her, he does well in the car and gets excited for park dates, events and shopping trips. He does well on leash, and minds his own business out and about. He makes new friends along the way, and strangers are always quick to comment on how handsome he is!

Stetson can be a bit shy at first with new people, but soft voices, gentle pets and treats bring him the comfort he needs. After meeting Stetson the first time, he’ll remember you as a friend for life! This boy has such a warm, friendly temperament, it makes perfect sense that he’s a little choosy.

Stetson is super dog friendly, and a very social boy with other dogs. He loves to run and play with every dog he meets. Stetson will take breaks and “dog watch” from the sidelines when he gets tired, or check in with his people for pets. He’s a really good boy with a great sense of his own mood and needs. He shares treats well (and takes them gently!) and loves playing with toys with his doggy friends. Toys are great for Stetson’s “me-time” too, he can entertain himself with a chew toy for a while, making him an easy dog to have around while you work from home, do chores, or take care of the kids!

Stetson is also a total water dog! He loves to swim in his foster family’s pool, and he loves the doggy pools here at the rescue. Stetson’s foster family brags that he’s very treat motivated, highly intelligent and very trainable.

Stetson’s ideal home would have a big backyard for him to zoom in, maybe some other dogs for him to play with, and no kitties! Stetson would make a great family dog and is recommended for a home with kid’s ten and up. Stetson does kindly ask that you stock up on milkbones and rope toys in anticipation of his arrival. We are willing to test Stetson with anything you need us to in order to ensure that he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test
● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion
● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future
sessions
● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs

● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions
● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer
● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates,
resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
