My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fostering in Gloucester Massachusetts
Rosie
Approx 6 months
Female
UTD on age appropriate vaccinations including Rabies.
On heartworm prevention
Micro chipped
Blue ticked / Double Mask
Approximately 17 lbs
Cattle Dog Mix
1 of 3 littermates

Unfortunately since these pups were dumped on a farm, there is no history on Mom and Dad.
We can only speculate that Mom was a blue heeler and Dad???

Rosie is the sweetest girl, and very sensitive. Always looking for reassurance from her person/people. She loves her cuddles as much as her zoomies and will jump into your lap when she needs some love. Rosie is extremely treat and toy motivated and would be a great candidate for agility training.
Rosie does very well on leash, car rides and walking around pet friendly businesses. Rosie is submissive to other dogs and loves everyone she meets. She is very good with my grandchildren, seeking out their love and affection. Rosie would love some little humans of her very own.
I don't know why this sweetheart is still with me. It would be wonderful for her to get settled in for all her first experiences like snow, and the Holidays.

Rosie is very good about going #2 outside, we are still working on the peeing. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night with no issues.

Rosie was temp fostered in KY where she spent time with young children, dogs and a kitty.
She was very respectful of kitty. Rosie is already showing her Cattle dog instincts, stalking her litter mates, and taunting them to chase her. She is sleek and fast!

Rosie is fostering with 3 adult dogs and her littermates.

Rosie will need an active family with lots of time to dedicate to her and her training.
Potential adopters should have experience and/or knowledge of the breed. Willingness to hire a professional, ethical trainer if needed. Rosie will need lots of exercise and room to run.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
