For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Microchipped, DOB: May 13, 2016
Gorgeous Doris is a total pleasure to have around. She loves food, has perfect litter habits and some of the softest fur out there.
Doris is mostly quiet and keeps to herself through the day. She loves to look out the window, or curl up for a snooze in a cozy spot. When she decides she needs some loving, she'll come find you and ask for some pets (chin scratches are her favourite) or a snack. You'll know when she's looking for food or attention because she'll lay her paw on your hand or arm and just leave it there waiting, which is very cute to watch.
While being picked up isn't her most favourite, she has showed zero signs of aggression and only let's out a few meows when you scoop her up for some kisses and cuddles. Doris also enjoys playing with toys, especially chasing a piece of string if you dangle and bounce it around for her.
Doris would probably feel most comfortable being the only pet in her forever home. She's been living with another senior cat at her foster's house, but she's still not sure how she feels about him. She tends to let him know when he's coming too close but has slowly gotten a little more used to him as each day goes by, so she may just need time to feel comfortable with other feline friends.
Doris' foster family says that getting to know her has been such a delight and while she is quite a small girl, she has a large kitten-like quality to her that is very endearing to have around.
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $200.
