Orson is a handsome almost 5 year old super great cat (born approximately 8/29/2019). He received his name because when he was little, his family thought he resembled a feline version of Orson Welles with similar, very serious expressions. He must go to his new home with his litter mate brother Jarvis who he has lived with his entire life. They sleep, snuggle, groom each other, and play together. It’s hard to tell them apart because they look very much alike. Orson is more stout, has bigger ears, a wider head and face, and fur with a thicker almost guinea pig texture with no white on him.
Both Orson and Jarvis are very playful and they enjoy almost any toy with some favorites being catnip mice, fishing poles with strings, balls, etc. They both knead on soft surfaces and also like to “nurse” on stuffed animals and their faux fur beds. They would love to sleep with someone they love and trust. Both boys will likely hide when visitors arrive but as long as guests are quiet, they may make an appearance eventually especially if some treats are involved. They will need time to adjust to a new home so patience will be important but they will definitely be worth the wait when they show their true selves. They will go to their new home with their special microchip feeders and other favorite items.
Orson and Jarvis need to go to a home with no other cats. They will also do best in a home with adults only or older children that aren’t too loud and won’t chase them. They lived with a dog previously who was very well-behaved and didn’t bother them so they may do okay in a home with a dog with a similar personality.
Orson doesn’t like being picked up but will seek you out when you’re on the couch or in bed for snuggles and if he really likes you, he drools. He is definitely a lap cat. Orson loves to climb cat trees, particularly the ones that are floor to ceiling and he will chase his tail around and around. Orson has a little squeaky meow that only comes out when he’s offered his favorite treats.
These sweet handsome boys are full of character and are super unique little guys and they are simply the best companions anyone could ask for.
