Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ken!
A charming one-and-a-half-year-old Mixed Breed from Tijuana, Mexico, whose gentle spirit is wrapped in a golden coat of affection and curiosity.
Ken is the epitome of a loving companion, with a heart as big as his playful energy! From his early days at a large animal sanctuary to his current life in San Diego, CA, Ken has always been a bundle of joy and tenderness. He’s a true snuggler who will happily curl up next to you, or on you if allowed, radiating warmth and affection!
This delightful pup thrives in social settings, playing happily with over forty dogs of various breeds at daycare! Ken is fantastic with kids and adults alike, although he warms up slowly and looks to his caregiver for reassurance. While his interaction with cats remains a mystery, his playful nature suggests he might be curious and gentle.
He’s house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go out, showing his strong bladder control by comfortably holding it through the night. Though not a fan of crates, Ken is content during car rides, often curling up for a nap on long journeys.
Ken's favorite activities include frolicking at the dog park, enjoying off-leash adventures where he can always keep you in sight, and going for walks where his good leash manners shine! He’s also great at recall, returning promptly when called. Despite his energetic demeanor, Ken doesn’t bark or bite and is generally not a chewer—though he might nibble if left alone without distractions. A Greenie treat keeps him content and calm when you need to step out.
Ken knows basic commands like "wait" and "sit," making him a joy to be around! His ideal new loving home would be with a family who can keep up with his medium to high energy levels, ensuring he gets plenty of exercise and socialization. Whether in a house or an apartment, frequent trips to the dog park or daycare are essential for his happiness.
Vaccinated, neutered, and in excellent health, Ken is ready to bring endless joy and cuddles to his new family! Could that be you? Ken is eager to find a caring environment where he can continue to thrive and share his boundless love!
