My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years old
Weight: 4.4kg / 9.7lb
Breed: New Zealand Rabbit

Meet Boba, a sweet New Zealand rabbit who's back to her laid-back, social self after a tough time. Boba originally arrived with her bonded bestie, Tapioca, who sadly passed away, but after some time in foster care to heal from her grief and a brief illness, she's now ready for a loving forever home.

As a larger breed, Boba loves to stretch out her extra-long body and needs plenty of free-roam time in a bunny-proofed space. She's great with children, as long as they respect her boundaries, and thrives in a calm, safe environment. Her ideal setup includes plenty of room for hopping around and exploring, along with a cozy spot to relax.

Boba's diet should consist of fresh hay, leafy greens, and high-quality rabbit pellets to keep her happy and healthy. In fact, her foster family actually gave her the nickname "Nom Nom" because of her extreme love of her greens!

If you're ready for a loving, easygoing companion with a lot of personality, Boba is the perfect fit!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
