My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You seriously will never find another dog as chill and cool as Mr. Terrance. Terrance is a mid aged scruffy boy who came to us after he was found as a stray by a good samaritan. Another rescue scooped him up for safe keeping then contacted us because they know we love the oldies. Terrance is a mid aged dude at about 8 years old. He does have some vision impairment and some hearing loss, but honestly it never holds him back. He is on daily eye meds to help with his chronic dry eye. He has a bit of swagger due to an old injury in his back, but Terrance just thinks it makes him look cooler. This boy LOVES to go on adventures, run errands, get his nails done with the girls, and just be with his people. Terrance loves everyone he meets. Dogs, kids, cats, you name it. You couldn't meet a more chill dude. Terrance has been known to attempt escaping a yard to go on adventures. So a secure fenced in yard is a must and no access to doggy doors when someone isn't home. What can we say the boy likes to be on the go. Terrance is housebroken and knows how to use doggy stairs to get up to the bed for snuggles. His ideal home would be someone who isn't gone long and would love to have a friend to take places. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.September 17, 2024, 2:21 pm

More about this rescue

Rosalie and Friends was created out of the President's dedication to help the under dogs and cats. She has taken in and rehabilitated the sick and injured for years. Late 2022 a well respected animal 501c3, Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter, dissolved and turned the organization over to Rosalie and Friends. We have assumed responsibility of several programs from them, to include sponsorship for heartworm treatment of animals adopted through the shelter. We also provide medical assistance for shelter animals and have a fospice program to get senior pets from the shelter and into loving homes through end of life. Our logo is "Fospice and fixer uppers" but that has not stopped us from helping others that cross our paths.
