Name: Nora
Sex: Female
Breed: Australian Shepard mix
DOB: 4/26/2019
Age: 5 yrs
Weight: <45 lbs
Good with: Adults (loves men especially), children, dogs & cats
Needs Daily prescription
Sadly after 5 years with her family, Nora is being surrendered back to STAR through no fault of her own. A change in her family’s dynamics has brought about this big change for her. She’s a sweet girl who loves children, dogs and has lived with a cat sibling too. In fact, she has gotten along with every other pet that she’s been around. She LOVES walks, car rides and has attended doggy day care without issues. One thing to keep in mind is she is not good off leash, she will take off; a home with a fenced yard will be best. She has a high prey drive for wild critters like birds, bunnies & deer and will chase them given the opportunity. She is great with all ages from young to old. She is not crate trained, in the past, she has slept in bed with her humans. She enjoys snuggles on the couch, new toys and chew bones. If Nora is left unsupervised with food out on the counter she will steal food, however, she knows that this is naughty, additionally she knows at dinner time to go lie down somewhere and not beg at the table. She takes a daily medication to boost her hormone level which keeps her from having incontinence issues overnight. She is up to date on her vetting.
We are looking for an active family to adopt Nora that has another dog to keep her company.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application at survivortails.org or email adoptions@survivortails.org with questions and interest so a meet and greet can be set up. We are a 501c registered rescue licensed to adopt to NH & MA only.

More about this rescue
Survivor Tails Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit, all-volunteer organization that exists to rescue, rehome, and rehabilitate homeless, unwanted, abused, and neglected dogs and cats and place them in loving and responsible forever homes. More than 4 million cats and dogs die each year in animal shelters across the country due to overpopulation issues. That's why we're here. Our mission is twofold: to find these unwanted animals loving homes of their own and to work with communities and like-minded organizations to stop the issue of overpopulation from the top. We don't want to just put a bandage on the issue, we want to prevent animal homelessness from the getgo.
