Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Seasoned Husky lovers will swoon over Dallas’ good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. He has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, and his coloring is icy white. He has big blue eyes seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief.
Dallas arrived at our Connecticut rescue recently after he spent some time in a rural North Carolina Shelter. Animal Control Officers found Dallas as a country stray, and were impressed at how friendly and easy to handle he was. Dallas made many shelter friends who advocated tirelessly for him.
Two years old, Dalla is a well adjusted adult Husky, who has impressed everyone with his good looks and relaxed demeanor. We love our Northern Breeds, and we're thrilled to welcome Dallas. He is a typical Husky, part jokester and part athlete. Anyone interested in sharing their home with a Husky must bring their A game to the table. Dallas needs a savvy handler to maintain his equilibrium. Exercise and discipline, as well as ongoing obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact.
Dallas is not the kind of dog who will be happy relegated to the back yard. He loves attention and adventure. We would describe Dallas as having a neutral temperament. He has a vibrant personality that would compliment the vibe of a calm, but assertive individual, who can take command of the leash and provide the leadership and focused obedience training that will give him purpose and pleasure in life.
Dallas has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged. He is coming along nicely on his Canine Good Citizenship training, and has the potential to reach certification.
Dallas has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although adopters should expect some accidents as he transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered and fully treated for Heartworm. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Dallas, please call/text Denise at 860-908- 9738 or email angelsfrmgod@aol.com.
