Meet Toothless! Named for a character in the movie “How to Train Your Dragon”, he is a sweet 10 year old boy who just loves affection.

A joy to be around, he’s an easy going guy looking for a laid back home to chill out in.

*Toothless does require a small pill twice a day for hyperthyroidism, which he happily takes in a salmon flavored pill pocket. (Generic Methimazole is an inexpensive medication……) Does not require special diet.

This cat/kitten is UTD on shots, tested negative for feline aids/luk, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting please email us at volaux@yahoo.com for an adoption application. PLEASE NOTE WE CAN NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS.

This cat/kitten is currently in foster care. Our cats/kittens are cycled at our adoption center which is located at PetSmart TomsRiver. We have cats at the center that can be seen all week. Volunteers are there Sat 10-2 & Sun 11-3.

We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application, please be sure to provide a vet reference. Once we receive your completed application and it is approved, one of our volunteers will contact you to set up a meet. (For the safety and well being of our animals, please be aware that only approved adopters may handle the cats at our adoption center.) All cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped up to date on shots, leuk/aids negative.

Petsmart Toms River has graciously provided us a room to house cats that we have for adoption. While the cats can be viewed during store hours and applications may be left at anytime, most adoptions are done on Saturdays and Sundays. However, appointments may be arranged during the week. Additional cats/kittens who are in foster care visit petsmart every weekend on a rotating basis. Adoption hours are 10 - 2 on Saturday & 11 - 3 on Sunday. The Volunteer Auxiliary For Animal Shelters, Inc. is a non-profit organization run solely by dedicated volunteers committed to helping shelter animals. Our mission is to increase adoptions and decrease euthanization at the Northern Ocean County Animal Shelter in Jackson. A large part of our adoptions are done at off-site locations, staffed solely by volunteers. These locations have enabled us to place many animals in loving homes.

Foster families for cats and kittens and Petsmart adoption volunteers are currently needed. If you are interested in volunteering, please email volaux@yahoo.com.
