Meet Petey!
Petey is a sweet 2 year old chihuahua looking for his furever home. Petey can be timid at first, but once he’s had a chance to decompress he is a love bug.
He gets along with dogs (with proper intro), older kids and cats. Loves to play with his foster siblings. He is currently learning to walk on a leash which he does nicely. Petey will need lots of love and patience as he is learning to trust people with taking off/ putting on harness.
Petey is potty and crate trained. We recommend he stays in a designated place at least until he learns the rules and boundaries of his new home, this will allow him to have a comfortable, safe place to de-stress.
Petey loves petsies and cuddling next to his human. He's also a very smart boy, and would benefit from some basic training. This little guy is very treat motivated, so that shouldn”t be a problem.
Such a sweet pup! Petey deserves his happily ever after. Could you be the one to offer him his forever home?

Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue was born out of my love for small dogs and desire to help those in need, and in memory of the loss of a dear family member. Dealing frequently with small breed puppies and retired breeder moms, we strive to find homes that are aware of the commitment to raising a small breed dog and to the patience needed in socializing and housebreaking a retired breeder mom who has no idea what life in a home is all about. We are foster home based and are always looking for new foster homes to help us continue our love of rescuing dogs in need. We are happy to assist in owner surrender placements, especially those in need of surrendering their small dogs due to financial hardships, loss of a loved one, or dog owner entering assisted living facilities or nursing homes. We pride ourselves with a thorough search for that perfect home for a dog in need and follow up with phone calls to ensure things are going well. Tiny Paws will take back an adopted dog should the need arise within a reasonable notice and an available foster home has an open spot. Our goal is to someday own a building to house even more canine companions in need. We look forward to helping you find your family pet.
