Dottie is the poster child for a love bug! This 9 month old Lab/Pyr mix is so sweet, loves everyone and everything and just wants her own people to love. She hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like, she’s super aloof to them initially but once play is initiated, she is all for it! She has been going for daily walks and does wonderful. She has all basic training down and is fully house broken. Her crate is still a slight work in progress but she is quickly getting the hang of it. Loud sudden noises do spook her but with some reassurance she moves on. She will let out a bark when someone comes through the door since she cannot see who it is but once she hears your voice and smells you, she is very happy to see you. She was previously in a home that children visited and did very well with them. She was also with a cat that she didn’t bother at all. She is on anxiety medication for situational anxiety but with time and patience she won’t need those medications any longer. If you want a best friend and someone to cuddle with this is your girl!
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
