My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Max. Max is around a 1.5 year old hound mix. When we first got him he was very skinny, but good news he is now put on the weight he needed and now weights 65lbs as of his last vet appt. Max would benefit from having a four legged friend. Max is crate trained, walks okay on the leash, loves car rides, and loves kids. We are unsure about how he is with cats but we can cat test him. Max would love a family who is active, as he loves to constanly be on the go. One thing max will need is liver supplements. Due to him being starved and neglected his liver values will always remain high, but the liver supplements will help with that. They typically range about $50 for 180 chewables. He gets one daily mixed in with his food. Max is utd on shots, neutered, and micropchipped.

Go meet their pets

As a foster-based rescue, our pets in need are located in foster homes from SC up through the Northeast.

More about this rescue

We are a foster-based 501c3 animal rescue comprised of a small team of volunteers. Our mission is to help animals in critical need both in shelters and in the community at large. In order to fulfill that mission, we rely on the willingness of fosters and adopters to open up their hearts and homes, and the generosity of our followers and supporters to donate towards veterinary care, supplies, transport, boarding, and other related expenses.
