Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Jackal came to us from Orange County Animal Care on July 5th. He is 14 years old, weighs about 11 lbs., and is a spunky love bug.
Jackal went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and he earned positive reviews for being a loving, fun, house-trained, and well-behaved guest!
His Fling Mom reports:
"I have so enjoyed Jackal. As he became comfortable, he began to show interest in chasing toys, playing with my dogs who are half his age, and running with them when the doorbell rings. He goes up and down the stairs with me 15 times a day, and he loves to sit right next to me on the couch. He's a great buddy!
Jackal seems like he'll do best in a home with another dog. I don't believe he'd ever been around a cat before. He was cool to my cat and never started anything with her, but he would stand up for himself, particularly if she's giving him the stare down. Otherwise, he peacefully walked past her all day.
Jackal was fed about 6 feet apart from my dogs. He's a great eater! Jackal had only one accident, and that was on the first day as he was figuring the place out. He was beginning to follow my dogs in/out of the dog door, so I'm sure he could catch on to that if someone wanted to use a dog door. He slept for 8 hours at the foot of our bed without the need to go out overnight.
Jackal is a sweet little boy who warmed up so well in our household."
Jackal currently lives in a foster home while he waits for his forever home. He gets along wonderfully with the cat and five other dogs in his foster home. His Foster Dad reports:
"Jack was a little inhibited in a kennel scenario at FFF. He is doing great as a long term foster. His nervous behavior is fading into a happy, confident guy. He would be a great addition to any family!"
To see if this snuggly ray of sunshine is the new best friend you've been looking for, please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet him!
