My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shuri, the lovable 1 1/2-year-old Pitbull mix who is eagerly waiting for
her perfect forever home. This sweet girl has captured the hearts of
volunteers and shelter staff with her affectionate nature and playful
personality. She`s a fantastic walker, adores car rides, and enjoys
spending time in the play yards with her canine companions. Shuri`s ideal
home would be with another dog she can bond with and shower with love, or
with a loving human who can return all the affection she has to offer. She
has even shown kindness towards children on her walks, making her a
wonderful addition to any family.

At a petite size, Shuri is the perfect `pocket pitty` and is ready to
become a loyal and devoted companion to whoever opens their heart and home
to her. If you`re looking for a loving and playful four-legged friend to
join your family, Shuri is ready to meet you! Come visit her at the shelter
and you`ll see for yourself what a dream she is. Don`t miss out on the
opportunity to make Shuri a part of your life for good. Come meet her today!

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
