Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Sugars is living in a foster home in Edgerton, Wisconsin.

Sugars is a senior gal who weighs about 13 pounds. Sugars found herself in rescue after her owner took her to the vet to euthanize her because Sugars was older and the owner knew that she could potentially need more care than she could pay for as Sugars got older. The vet strongly urged the owner to rehome Sugars with the rescue so that she could continue to live out her golden years. Everything with Sugars bloodwork was looking normal and she also received a dental. She is now ready to live out her life in peace and harmony. In her foster home she lives with dogs of all sizes, but we think she would be super happy to return to life as an only child or with other chill senior dogs. Sugars is not very active, but will occasionally patrol her foster's fenced in yard. She mostly loves to hang out in a cushy dog bed. Her favorite time of day is mealtime! Sugars would love to live out her golden days in your home.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
