My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a handsome 1-year-old Alaskan Husky mix with a sweet heart and a playful spirit. This exuberant boy loves making new friends and gets along well with both dogs and people. However, he’s looking for a child-free home where he can truly thrive.

Max’s youthful energy makes him the perfect companion for an active family who can keep up with his playful personality. He’s still learning his doggy manners, so continuing his positive reinforcement training will be key to helping him grow into the best version of himself.

If you’re ready for a loyal, fun-loving pup to join your life, come meet Max and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
