My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Delany. My two sisters and I were born in the home of the person who rescued our pregnant Mama from under a car. Our Mama nursed us and took good care of us but she was semi-feral and escaped out a window before we were two months old. That’s when we came to SBACC and went to a foster home. Here’s what our foster Mom has to say: Delany and her sisters have all been an absolute delight to love and care for. It would be wonderful if she could be adopted with one or both of her sisters because they all love each other. They cuddle and play together. Delany is super energetic, playful, curious, and not the least bit fearful. I see her doing well in a home possibly with a dog, or children, or another playful cat. She is not as cuddly as her sisters but is fun, curious, and loves people!

Dogs $150, Puppies under 6 months $225
Cats $75 over 5 years
Cats between 6 months-5 years $100
Kittens under 6 months $130

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax-deductible.

We are always in need of volunteers and have many areas in which you can share your talents. Please attend one of our volunteer classes to get started.
