Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our Aria should have been named "Spicy Meatball." This little girl has tons of energy and just doesn't know what to do with it sometimes. She even gets jealous if you pay attention to another cat while she's around. She likes to be "numero uno" and will let you know if you're not doing it right.

Since her energy level is so high, she will need an owner who will give her the attention she craves and also be ready for some good, daily playtimes. These playtimes will help get that excess energy out.

She would do best in a home with a cat-savvy adult owner(s), who can redirect her energy and anticipate when she's thinking about being naughty. Aria would probably do best as the only animal, as she doesn't seem to appreciate what she might perceive as "competition."

Little Miss Aria has a ton of personality and would make a great addition for the right person or family.

Submit Application

Once your application is sent, you will receive an email with instructions/next steps. Please allow our team up to one week to respond.

Approve Application

Our team will perform all relevant veterinary and landlord references and will call with the status of your application.or any questions.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, our staff will call your family, and schedule a time for you to meet the animal of interest.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once all family members meet with our team, and all agree to the match, you can take the animal home at that time.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

You will be sent the adoption paperwork, and further information that is needed to complete the adoption.

More about this shelter

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
