Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
We’re suckers for a good before-and-after, and Shug's transformation is one for the books.
When we met Shug, she was in rough shape. Her skin was covered in thick, rough patches called lichenification, which is a type of lesion that develops from long-term rubbing/scratching. Severe cases are often compared to elephant skin (and although Shug has always been perfect in our eyes, we can see why). For Shug, this was caused by severe allergies that went untreated for goodness knows how long.
Now, thanks to endless TLC from her foster family and some trial-and-error as we learned her allergy triggers, Shug is a brand new woman. More importantly, she's ready to find her forever family!
This girl is one happy house hippo. She’s as sweet as can be and it’s impossible not to fall in love with her charm. Shug is also a social butterfly, loves everyone she meets, and would do best with a fursibling who is ready and willing to be her partner-in-crime.
If you’re in the market for an expert cuddler, look no further. Shug’s alter ego is a 7-pound-lap-dog and she’s ready to spend every lazy Sunday next to you on the couch. And by next to you, I mean on top of you.
Shug is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative. She does best on food designed for sensitive skin and gets a few extra supplements to keep her in tip-top shape, but her care is otherwise the same as any other pup.
P.S. Apply now so that you don't miss out on the chance to adopt the Guinness World Records holder for most boopable nose!
