Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stevie is coming along with housebreaking. He knows his name and will come when called. He's still a bit skittish, so could be a flight risk. He definitely has not become custom to a leash yet so he will need more work on that. He loves my big dog and wants to be next to her. He's ok with the cat but will sometimes chase. He likes to eat in peace and doesn't want other pets sticking their noses in while he's eating, or he will react. No problem reacting with a human with food and toys. He loves puzzle toys. He loves to play ball and will fetch. He loves toys he can chew on. He's an avid chewer. He's still interested in stealing napkins, shoes. etc so he needs some supervision. Sleeps quietly in his crate all night but ready to go out early for potty. He gets so excited to get out and will bark. He loves to sit on your lap and get love. He's learned to sit for treats so he will easily be trained. With a little TLC he will be a fine companion. Steven does require a fenced in yard. He is 4 yr old neutered male mini poodle. He weighs 16 pounds.
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
