Hi...My name is Luciano, and my foster mom swears that I am the bestest boy.
I don't require much but a soft bed, and some food twice a day. I'm a very quiet & mellow fella (hey, that rhymes ).
Even though I weigh 65+ lbs, you won't even know I'm around, as I am a big couch potato & my mommy's shadow. They say I'm 7+ yrs old, but that's an estimated guess. I am both house & crate trained, although I really don't need to be in a crate. I love everyone I meet - human, canine & feline. I don't discriminate.
There is an itsy bitsy little thing that always scares away adopters, but I am getting treated for it. I tested positive for Heartworms because my previous people didn't give me proper preventatives.
But that's ok - Hero Dog Rescue is paying for my treatment, and we are hoping to get rid of these nasty vermin from my heart sooner than later. I am halfway through, so don't let those worms scare you from applying for me.
I promise I won't disappoint you once you meet me, so please give me a chance.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
