My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Poppy! I am a young mama of 2 kittens named Sesame and Chia. My foster mom rescued me and my newborn kittens during a thunderstorm on April 1, 2024. I was soooo scared....I was living under a stairwell in an apartment complex and had my two babies during the storm, out in the parking lot! After much coaxing from my foster mom, her niece and a friend at the apartment complex, we went to live with our foster mom.

I am still a young cat, just a little over a year old now. My estimated date of birth is 4/1/23. I am mostly jet-black, with just a small dash of white on my chest, and have georgeous golden colored eyes. I am sleek and relatively small and weigh just a little over 6 lbs.

I am very shy, but sweet, loving and calm. I love to curl up next to my 'mom' on the sofa, or even share a quiet spot on the bed. I definitely like TLC, being petted and soft, fluffy pillows. My favorite toys are crinkle toys and spring toys. I love to run and play with my own kittens, especially since I am such a young cat myself! Sesame looks like a mini me! I love hanging out in the cat tree and watching the birds outside the window.

I am currently eating Purina Naturals Cat Chow Complete, Indoor cat food. For a treat, I really like a small portion of Fancy Feast canned cat food.
.
I have not been around children or dogs.

All fosters under the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition: Community Cat Adoption Program are fostered privately through foster homes.  They are spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped before adoptions are finalized.  SAFCC is a 501c3 non profit, all volunteer organization serving San Antonio and Bexar County, Texas.
