Klaus is a big sweetheart who is ready to find his forever home with his sister, Violet. They are a spunky bonded duo who are full of energy and cuteness! Rescued from a business center by some sweet employees, they are still a bit shy and will need someone who's willing to hold them and give them daily snuggles while they learn to trust. Klaus is quicker to warm up while his tiny sister needs a bit more coaxing - but Churu treats bring her right around! He prefers to come to you instead of being picked up, but he will always greet you in the morning for love and especially belly rubs! They have lived with other cats and dogs, but recently had a bad experience with Violet being bullied by an older kitty housemate - so, they would do best as only kitties for now. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
