Hi, my name is Aster! I am a 12 year old gal who has accumulated many life experiences. Some have been good and some have been rough but through them all I have remained a sweet and gentle soul with some pep left in my step! What is my ideal day? Short leisurely strolls and a comfy place to sit and watch the world go by. When I was found stray a couple of months ago, I was diagnosed as being heartworm positive. The vet is going to treat the heartworms with a slow-kill method. This takes a while, but it’s much easier on my body. So that leave me looking for a long-term foster or foster to adopt home. I want you to know that I am an easy breezy dog just looking for a soft place to hang out ! I am dog-friendly and kid-friendly, too. Who am I trying to fool??? I LOVE all people! I’m crate-trained and housebroken and a HUGE fan of peanut butter! And being a lab, I am always happy taking a bath and wouldn’t mind a short swim in the lake from time to time either!
My “food friends” at CDR are helping me add a little weight to my frame since my ribs are showing, but I love to eat so it should be no problem for me! I have some lumps and bumps from when I didn’t have a home and I was laying on concrete for months at a time. It doesn’t hurt and they are just a sign of my resilience! I can’t wait to meet my foster or foster to furever family!
