My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WEIGHT: 68bs

Meet Lexi- The sweetest dog to ever dog. This girl is comfortably in midlife and is ready for her next big adventure. She came to from a partner shelter where she spent some time in a foster. Here is what they had to say about her:

"Lexi is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a calm and chill dog. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is great with kids, making her a fantastic addition to any family. She's your ideal coffee shop buddy, happily lounging by your side as you enjoy your coffee and get work done. Lexi is well-behaved when left alone, so you don't have to worry about any mischief while you're out. She's a star in the car, making her a great travel partner. Lexi is house trained and loves nothing more than a good couch cuddle. She responds well to praise and treats. Working from home? Lexi is the perfect WFH dog, content to hang out quietly while you work. Lexi loves walks and will happily join you on your daily strolls. She's great on leash and on hikes. She does show interest in squirrels and can get fixated but will keep it moving with enough encouragement. If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who will fit seamlessly into your life, Lexi is your girl."

Additional adoption info

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details!

**Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey.

If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready.

If you’re adopting a dog, introduce your future friend to any other dogs in the family (dog adoptions only).
